Based in Florence, Italy, Gucci is an Italian line of luxury fashion items, including handbags, ready-to-wear, footwear, and fragrances.  Founded in 1921 by its namesake, Guccio Gucci, and under the direction of his son, the brand quickly became renowned worldwide.

Following a span of feuding in the family throughout the 1980s, by 1999, Pinault Printemps Redoute, which soon afterwards became known as Keurig, acquired the business.  After the acquisition, in the 2010s, the Gucci brand became synonymous with “geek-chic.”

“It’s a sort of bouquet of scents,” said Giannini for WWD, “So Gorgeous Gardenia because I wanted to underline the gorgeously feminine side of this fragrance. Glorious Mandarin because there’s a sort of euphoria in mandarin since it’s such a sparkly fruit.”  In the process of making these fragrances, it was very important to distinguish them from one another. The idea is that each fragrance should reflect a facet of the same woman. The fragrances come in elongated hexagonal-shaped bottles with transparent rather than gold stoppers.

The fragrance apparently reflects confidence and femininity. It is designed for modern women of character that is multifaceted. The fragrance is intense, graceful, and gentle at the same time.  The composition is floral woody. It opens with citrusy accords of bergamot leading to the exotic floral heart of ylang-ylang, Casablanca lily, and orange blossom. Intense notes of sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla, and amber form the base.

Gucci Bloom

The first fragrance under the hand of the new creative director Alessandro Michele presented with white flowers such as natural sambac jasmine and heady tuberose mixed with woody accents of orris root and the new accord of Chinese honeysuckle or Rangoon creeper Combretum Indicum, a vine with red flowers native to India and exclusive to this fragrance.

Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiori

This fragrance promises a more vivid, energetic, and fresh character, inspired by friendships between women, born of spontaneity and youthful joy.  Like Gucci Bloom, the new edition is created by perfumer Alberto Morillas who took the original delicately spicy floral composition of tuberose, jasmine, and Chinese honeysuckle Rangoon creeper, the red-flowered vine that premiered in perfumes and made it fresher by introducing green accords. The dry down is woody and musky, created to convey warmth and depth. It is said to be an invigorating and radiant, lightly green, and floral fragrance of highly concentrated ingredients.

Rose and Osmanthus flowers resonate in an enigmatic, woodier blend together with the notes of the original Gucci Bloom.

Designed for the glamorous, daring, brave, and very sexy girls who like to party and enjoy themselves. The face of the advertising campaign is Evan Rachel Wood, singer, and actress.  Gucci Guilty contains the notes of mandarin, pink pepper, peach, lilac, geranium, amber, and patchouli.
