Good Girl vs Good Girl Dot Drama By Carolina Herrera

Much like when we put on a lovely dress, or a favorite pair of shoes, the wearing of a favorite fragrance has us carrying ourselves differently—because we perceive ourselves as more attractive.  Depending on the type of fragrance we don, we can perceive ourselves as more masculine, feminine, sophisticated—and yes—sexy

In a nutshell, fragrance makes the wearer more attractive.  That is why we are proud to offer both scents amongst the monthly perfume choices in our fragrance subscriptions here at Scentbox. This concept was nothing new to the designer of the Good Girl brand of fragrances.

Venezuelan fashion designer, Carolina Herrera, is known for the exceptional personal style that she owns and exhibits.  She has had the honor over the last several decades of stylishly dressing several first ladies of the United States, including Jacqueline Onassis, Laura Bush, Michelle Obama, and Melania Trump.

Through the decades, Herrera was well known for her contribution to the clothing and fashion worlds.  Then. in July of 2016, Herrera announced that she would be releasing and offering her newest fragrance in September—that of a line titled Good Girl”—with the tag line “It’s so good to be bad!”

Good Girl

Good Girl is an elegant women’s scent with oriental floral tones, achieved through the masterful blending of multiple fragrances.  The various top notes of the scent include almond, coffee, bergamot, and lemon.   The middle tones are expertly chosen and include tuberose, jasmine sambac, orris, orange blossom, and Bulgarian rose.  The rounding out the mixture is the base tones of tonka bean, cacao, vanilla, praline, sandalwood, amber.,musk, cashmere wood, patchouli, cinnamon, and cedar.

Through the use of tuberose and roasted tonka bean, the fragrance serves to aid in representing the ever-changing duality that makes up each woman’s individual and unique character.  The contrasts of floral, along with both sambac jasmine and tuberose, and that of the profoundly mysterious tonka bean and cocoa help to bring forth this very unusual yet intriguing fragrance.

The perfume is available in its trademark bottle shaped like an elegant black stiletto in either 50ml or 80ml Eau de Parfum.

Good Girl Dot Drama

Good Girl Dot Drama, released in 2019, was much like its predecessor. The fragrance is highlighted as a that of oriental floral, by an expertly combined fragrant bouquet of bitter, sweet, and wood tones.  Combining these tones will give the wearer sensations of warmth, sensuality, and a soft perfume.  Once applied to the body, the wearer will notice those lingering tones, including powdery, warm spice, and balsamic hints.

If it seems Good Girl Dot Drama may appear to be a perfect choice for you, it is highly suggested that you try a sample before investing in the fragrance.  You will want to see how the various fragrant tones blend with your personal body chemistry and character.

Good Girl Dot Drama is presented in the brand’s trademark elegant black stiletto bottle, with the addition of Herrera’s trademark white polka dots, and is a limited edition.

Good Girl Vs. Good Girl Dot Drama

Many will agree that Carolina Herrera not only created and designed a show-stopping fragrance that has garnered worldwide appeal, but she pulled off the use of an undeniably unique perfume bottle as well.  The original Good Girl features a slick, sleek, classic stiletto show design.  With the release of her Good Girl Dot Drama Herrera kept the same base black stiletto. However, she added white dots, which are somewhat of a trademark of her earlier fashion designs.

Whereas Good Girl released in 2016, it followed up three years later in 2019 with Good Girl Dot Drama.  Each release contains the original fragrance that has received several industry awards.  The only difference is the look and style of the bottle in which they are each presented in.

To further convey the intended sexy nature of both of the fragrances, Herrera tapped supermodel Karli Kloss as the “face” of the Good Girl fragrance line.  Along with the attaching of Kloss to the fragrance and the development of the catchphrase “It’s good to be bad,” the true nature of the scent’s addictiveness is conveyed in their print and tv ad campaigns.

The campaign, featuring Kloss, pays tribute to film noir and its golden age.  The attitudes, styles, and images from that time that is brought to mind—with the memories of Lauren Bacall, Rita Hayworth, and Tippi Hendren is the style that the Good Girl line embodies.

Both Good Girl and Good Girl Dot Drama continue to be favored top choices in our monthly perfume fragrance subscription packages.  Signing up for our monthly scents is easy, and more information may be found on the main page of the site at http://scentbox.com.
